PRENATAL
I help prepare the birthing person (and family) for birth by providing two-two hour long prenatal visits. This entails answering various questions, reviewing the birth plan, practicing different birthing positions and techniques, and overall preparing the birthing person for birth and life with a newborn.
LABOR SUPPORT
During birth, I provide emotional, mental, and physical support to the birthing person. This includes advocating for the birthing person to healthcare professionals. I help to ensure the birthing person remains calm and relaxed through positioning, massage, acupressure, breathing, and reassurance. Additionally, I will offer support to the partner and family member(s) present.
POSTPARTUM
Throughout the postpartum period, I will provide immediate assistance after the birth. For up to two hours after birth, I will remain with you as you get accumulated to life with a baby. With frequent check-ins, I can provide emotional, mental, and educational support to the family as well as fill-in for the mother/father, as needed. Within 3-5 weeks after you arrive home, I will provide one-two hour long postpartum visit to check-in on your family and answer questions surrounding the newborn and mother, including but not limited to: breastfeeding, nutrition of the birthing person, sleep schedule, anxiety, and depression.
